Have you ever wanted to work with fold, but never did because of cost or lack of know-how?  No problem!  Learn to alloy your own gold and fabricate jewelry.  In this workshop the student will start with pure gold; learn to alloy the gold to various karat grades, fabricate gold sheet and wire and time permitting, make a basic piece of jewelry.  The grades and properties of gold solders will also be discussed.  Experience and basic metalworking skills are required including soldering.

The student should expect to have one ounce of 24 K gold for use in the class.  As gold is expensive, the student should check the current price of gold as a guide to the cost of materials for the class.

Good eyesight is required.
