Mixed Media Workshops
Our Mixed Media Program offers beginners as well as experienced artists
the opportunity to liberate and update their creativity and to truly
expand their horizons. Innumerable new techniques and approaches to
making art have evolved in the century and a half since the
Impressionists first opened the way toward that freedom of artistic
expression which characterizes our world today. The exciting creative
ideas of the Post-Impressionists and of the top artists of the twentieth
century have only gained in relevance for artists in the twenty first
century.
The teachers and workshop instructors in this program have a wealth of
knowledge and experience in teaching the fundamentals and will guide you
to new heights on your artistic adventure through the realms of
expressivity, technical innovation and creativity. And we will have fun
doing it, too!

When asked what my “Creative Process” course is about I say, “It’s everything
you ever wanted to know about art but didn’t learn in art school”. These are
things which every artist should know in order to deal effectively with color,
composition, mass, line, shape, design and even creativity itself and yet are
frequently not available. I have developed easy and fun ways of making these
concepts available to everyone who has the desire to learn them.
Whether a beginner or an experienced artist you will enjoy learning creative
methods and practical ideas that will really help you to loosen up and at the
same time give real results in the form of fresh and appealing paintings. We
will focus especially on how to use color and compositional principles to create
depth, power and visual impact. As we explore some of the simple yet sublime
secrets of creativity we will also be learning how to combine watercolors,
acrylic inks, water-soluble crayons and other interesting materials in exciting
and surprising ways.
There will be ample guidance, demonstrations and practical tips during your
stimulating and power packed three day creative adventure.
